Hello friends! Today’s post will cover all of the details from my latest YouTube video on my channel. I’m sharing how to create a simple and elegant table just in time for Thanksgiving festivities. Take a sit and grab a cup, this one is sure to inspire you.
Begin with a Centerpiece
I find that creating my centerpiece first helps to guide me in making the rest of the decisions for a table. I find inspiration here then pull from the colors used so it all ties in together nicely. Yesterday in stories I shared how I created this faux pumpkin flower centerpiece using Trader Trader Joes like eucalyptus and chamomile. If you missed it, no sweat it is saved to my highlights here.
Dress the Table
Now that the centerpiece is taken care of, it’s time to dress the table with a table cloth, dinnerware and napkins. Here is the table cloth I used and love. It has gold stripes and I love how it compliments the gold accents I am using.
Next up is the place settings: charger, plates, utensils, napkins and drink ware. Here are some beautiful chargers I found! They offer the perfect pop of gold and touch of elegance.
For drinkware, I happened to stumble upon the most unique wine glasses from Home Goods! They had just gotten the 4 pieces in so I was lucky enough to snag them. The shape and iridescent color is very Anthropologie. They were a score for $4.99 a piece! No worries, I have included these gold rimmed glasses below that are sure to impress.
Napkins are an easy way to add style to any table. you can keep it as simple or as fun as you wish! I went simple with a twist by picking up a burnt orange color napkin with frayed edges from Home Goods. The frayed ends add just enough interest to the plate to make it worth remembering! Here are all of the affordable options I found for frayed napkins.
Plates, Server ware, and Utensils
I personally used the plates that I have which are a simple white. But I am purchasing these for the holidays! Included are gorgeous gold utensils and server ware.
Last up were the faux pumpkin and candle holders both of which are from Target. The pumpkins are Target Dollar Spot Finds and the candle holders are linked directly below. I love the brass look that is so popular right now.
The Final Look
Here are photos of the final look. I also picked up these adorable pumpkin place holders from Target Dollar Spot. I chose to write in things I am grateful for: blessings, love, gratitude, and togetherness. So simple again, I believe simple is best!
