Bar carts are super inspiring me lately! I’ve always been a fan of all self serve food bars. It is so fun to have guests help themselves and customize their own dishes. With the small space of our home, I had never thought about creating a drink bar station… that is until I found the cutest and most affordable metal rolling cart for $35!

When I saw this cart, I knew I had to have it because: (1) it’s the perfect timeless matte black color but also comes in a modern grey. (2) It’s small in size which makes it the perfect solution for a small bar cart tucked away in a corner for apartments and tiny spaces. (3) Ummm the $35 price tag?! If you haven’t researched, a “real” bar cart will run anywhere from $100 and up, so this is a massive win π. (4) The metal rolling cart offers a modern and industrial twist but blends seamlessly with any decor scheme. I’m linking this baby right here… it’s just that good!
Decorate
Once I put the cart together it was time to decorate! It all came together so effortlessly. With a trip to the dollar tree store, I was able to grab some pops of red, white, and blue for the sweetest 4th of July set up. In an instant, the all around bar cart had me itching to create a special drink station for our upcoming 4th of July celebration (and let’s be honest, this bar is for mom and dad, because quarantine ππ€·ββοΈ). I knew I had to make a Sangria bar because nothing says the 4th like red and blue berries! Boom, I then decided to create a free printable for you all and that’s where this post was born… lucky for you I want you to have my FREE Sangria Bar printable right here.
To be more precise, this is THE Star Spangled Sangria Bar printable, yay! Frame it, hang it, place it near the drinks to set the mood. I love the simplicity of it and if I’m being honest, it made this adorable bar cart come together in a snap. Download yours for free right here! Back to Business
Back to the bar cart. Here is the breakdown of how I organized the three tiers for maximum Sangria Bar fun potential.
Top Tier: Red and white wine + sparkling lemonade for the kids and some straws. There are two bowls for the fruit (strawberries and blueberries) and I added the dollar tree unicorn here too just for fun β€.
Middle Tier: My new $10 iridescent wine glasses I scored from home goods last week and napkins (also from dollar tree)!
Bottom Tier: A bowl of candy (actually it’s in a cup that says “chocolate” which I find ironic since the candy is Mambas π) and my favorite faux string of pearls on my happy hygge book.
Here is the faux string of pearls! They look so real and the metallic pot is the cutest.
Star Spangled Sangria Bar
Once the cart was all decorated I was ready to create the fun sign to pull the whole bar together. This one is so simple just three steps as you can see! And not just for the 4th, I think this one can be used all year long π. I named it the “Star Spangled Sangria Bar” because why not, I’m feeling creative and with a name like that everyone is bound to have a blast!
The sign may also be printed without the colors for a more non traditional color scheme.
That’s it for the cart and I hope you all have a wonderful 4th and summer! Be sure to check my Instastories where I share the whole cart “in person”. It’s in my highlight button right here @thrillofhome on Instagram! Tag me with your carts and sangria bars. Big hugs!
