Well hiii friends..! I’ll start this post out by sharing that if I’ve seemed a bit absent on here it’s because I have indeed been absent. I’m extremely honored and proud of each time we connect in this space- taking a few steps back has not been easy in the slightest. Today I want to share a life update “tell all” about what I have been doing on these non blog days.
Video Content
First off for the life update, the way we share information is constantly changing- I love creating video content! With the Tiktok boom and Instagram’s push for becoming a video sharing app, my content has shifted from photography and blog posts to fun relatable videos, useful home tips, tutorials and everything in between. I’ve struggled with not having enough time in the day to create beautiful images, written posts AND video content all in one but I’m giving myself buckets of grace! What keeps me motivated to continue creating valuable content for you all are the connections we make along the way!
Viral Vids
And speaking of video content- little ol’ me has reached some astronomical views within the past few months… as Moira Rose puts it: “Alexis, they’re liking it! We have five likes! People are cawing back! Oh Alexis, I think you and I might need to purchase… antibiotics. I believe we’ve just gone viral.” 😆 Here are my most viral videos to date: (all linked to Ig reels although some went viral on other platforms either Pinterest or Tiktok!)

New Ventures
With our huge life update/ change (moving out of California and uprooting our whole life!) I have had to rediscover my passions and path by trying out all sorts of new ventures. While at times it feels like I’ve lost myself and can’t stand on common ground, I know that any significant growth can be downright painful and uncomfortable. I take these growing pains and moments of uncertainty as markers that I’m moving in the right direction!
Some new ventures include working a part time job- where I can interact with real people, yay 😂 and applying for college classes in the spring. Honestly it was a TOUGH call to venture outside of my content creator box that I’ve so lovingly built up over these past three years. This space truly is my fourth baby. Well, fifth if you include the hubby 😅. Anywaysss, I was conflicted about stepping into other roles because I don’t want to abandon my little “internet baby”. In the end it felt right even though I’ve been uncomfortable… I’m growing after all. And while that sometimes means slight inconsistency with my posting schedule, the content itself has been resonating with so many of you so I’ll continue following those happy bread crumbs!
The House
The update we all want to know about… how is the new house coming along? I’ve been sharing tidbits of the process in Instagram stories. I don’t think a day has gone by without a check up on the new place! Most of my time is spent pinning home inspiration/furniture pieces and creating design boards. It helps to keep my brain from feeling all over the place because in reality making this new build a home is going to be a process once it’s turn-key. That includes: finishing touches like trim, paint, wall paper, built ins, accent walls and more. Let’s not even take into account the furniture and decor now…
Alas, that’s why design is a saving grace! My chaos becomes clarity once more. For fun, I want to share some design boards I’ve created for our new home! If I had to label my style inspiration it would be European Farmhouse/Transitional Grand Millennial with nodes of Organic Modern Desert-ish vibes.
Which design board is your personal favorite?!
Inspiration is Everywhere
I’m taking inspiration for our home considering our love for California coasts and forests and now our love for Arizona’s wonderous skies, desert and unique foliage. Here is a glimpse into what a typical walk in our “backyard” looks like 🤩.
Home is a Process
I’m learning more each day that building a home is a process and not just in the physicality of it. Our home isn’t just a place with four wall to live and breathe, no. It’s also a place of peace and intention that we create in our minds with everyday habits. What we foster on the inside becomes our outside too. And while I take this time to create freely without a permanent home and without a clear plan (to be the most frank!) I’m inviting all of you friends to join me on this journey that ebbs and flows a lot like real life..! We’re going to create a beautiful life both separately and together as we link up from content piece to content piece.
*Quick reminder and update: If we aren’t already friends on Pinterest, Instagram, and Tiktok yet we totally should be! This is the best way to keep up with all of my home hacks, tutorials, and funny relatable videos.
I also share home and style links over in my shop on the Shop Ltk app here or my website here.
Until next time friends!
