Well hello there friends! It has been week since I have shared anything here… That’s not a long time so why does it feel like forever? Moving on, Christmas is only 5 sleeps away AHHH I love it! I am writing this post to help ease any stress you may be feeling about the whole holiday gift buying business… This is not a gift guide but just a little push to help guide you in any way.
For the Home Decor Lover
This first idea is brought you by $12 Costco pillows (they are unbelievably gorgeous!) and a coffee table book or magazine. Another fun idea is to include a subscription for a year to the magazine! This is also so great if you want to simplify your shopping but also want the gift to be unique. By changing up the style of the pillows and/or the book or magazine, this gift is instantly catered to the person receiving it. Perfect for anyone or how about hard to buy for tweens and teens?! (insert sixteen year old me with braces and living on every issue of seventeen magazine๐)
The Non-DIY, DIY Gift
We all want those sentimental gifts… but do we all have the time or the confidence to make them? No not really. Whether you are super crafty or feel highly unqualified to DIY, this one is for you. It is a ceramic mug kit from Michaels for get this… ONLY $2.99!!! The paint, mug, and baking instructions are included! This gift goes for anyone but especially grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles because well, who doesn’t love drinking their morning coffee in mug painted with love?!
Gift Card Hack
Why do gift cards get such a bad rap? Everyone loves them and they are easy to shop for. Literally your whole holiday shopping can be completed in 10 minutes or less. So use my gift card hack: Find a pretty box of chocolates that doesn’t need wrapping and place the gift card on top under a pretty bow or one of my pom poms! This is a teacher gift and I love the pretty and festive box of Belgian chocolates from Trader Joes. These were $10 for a box and no wrapping required! Chocolates can be found at pretty low prices, so just get shopping and keep those eyes peeled.
Cash Ornaments
Why do we so often forget about cold hard cash as gifts? Everybody loves it so let’s not make gifts harder than they have to be okay?! ๐ Grab some clear ornaments (these are from Target Dollar Spot but they can be found anywhere) and fill with cash! Or checks…and a duplex… Santa Baby ๐! Fill with festive poms, confetti or decorate the outside. Write a name with a glitter sharpie and top with a pom or bow. I love this idea for a White Elephant party too!
Experiences
The gift of experiences are my favorite! Here is a list of ideas:
Movie Gift Cards
Children’s Museum Membership
Salon visit for nails, hair, and/or skin! (Sacramento locals snag gift certificates from The Esthetics Center and enjoy 20% off services for mentioning me ๐
Massages (great for men and women!)
Zoo or aquarium membership
Cooking class
A weekend trip or staycation
A how to class such as photography, jewelry making, golf, yoga, pottery, sculpture, etc.
Concert tickets
Helicopter or hot air balloon ride
These gifts are super easy to pick up by phone or online so get browsing and get to checking off that shopping list!
There’s Still Time for Prime
If you are reading this 3 or more days before the big day then there is still time to buy gifts from Amazon prime! Here are my picks with with descriptions in caption.
And that’s it! Easy peasy. I’m also sharing the first 4 ideas on my Instragram stories if you’d like to take a closer peek. All the fun goes down here on my account. I hope this helps and I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and holiday season!
