Happy Wednesday friends! Last night I finally got a good night’s sleep and that’s a good thing because there is so much fun to share here on the blog. Yesterday I shared my fireplace mantle refresh video with you all on my Instagram. If you missed it, no worries! You can peep it right here.

I know everyone is ready for Christmas decor but I am not ready YET. I need a breather before the madness hits. Even when it does hit, my goal is to focus on simplicity and the cozy-ness factor. I’m calling today’s post “happy hygge” because that represents how I decorate my home so well! If you are unsure of what hygge is think warm blankets, realxing sips of tea by the fire, cozy gatherings with friends, home cooked meals in, and lots and lots of candles! There is more to it than that and I recommend checking out this blog here for a little insight. I also have this lovely book that has helped me so much in achieving hygge in my own home.

Hygge life is the best life IMO 🙌

Let’s Talk About It

Before I continue, I must tell you guys the main reason for this post. Seasonal depression is real and I experience it off and on throughout the colder months and around holidays. Some years are worse than others and some years are pretty great. If you have lost a loved one or struggle with seasonal depression in any way then I am writing this for you. I know this post may seem like it’s about buying “stuff” but I am sharing it because finding pieces and colors in my home that make me happy has helped me cope tremendously through these difficult times.

Colors + Textures

You will see simple pops of color throughout my home as you follow along! You will also see lots of texture. We recently made-over our fireplace and I painted everything white but added a lot of texture by mixing different finishes like shiplap and brick. If you missed that post you can read all about it here!

The After: Fall Foliage and Cozy Pillows

Here are the items I could link. The basket and textured vase are my favorite! No links for the pillows- they are Target Dollar Spot. I will also link some beautiful textured vases that I found. The simplicity of a pop of color in a pretty vase never fails ❤.

More Happy Hygge

I know that it’s almost Christmas but I will be using all of my happy hygge home decor until New Years Day! I try to keep things simple and cozy like I stated. I don’t want to feel like “I have to buy all the things” so I will be making some easy DIY Christmas ornaments to compliment what I already have… stay tuned! Here are other items that I love to keep things happy + cozy for the upcoming months. I’ve purchased most of them and can’t wait to share how I will use them at home!

What’s the Verdict?

So what do you think? Is my “Happy Hygge” style something that could work in your home? I hope you all enjoyed this fun refresh and affordable home decor round up! I went ahead and linked my outfit from yesterday in the “Shop My Instagram” link right here since I got a lot of questions! The sweater is my top favorite this season and I plan to buy a few more colors this weekend 😉

Hope you guys enjoyed this one! I worked really hard to answer any questions that may come up but if I missed something feel free to send me a message! Have a great Wednesday 💕
